TIPS ON CHOOSING THE RIGHT JACKET.
Choose within weight range!
Jackets need to be fitted to work the best.
There should be a gap at the front before they are stretched to zip up.
Floats can be removed to give more space if too tight ( as well as to adjust bouyancy in the water).
If your child is within weight range but it seems too tight, simply REMOVE 2 FLOATS STRAIGHT AWAY. There is additional flotation built into these Jackets so they will still work.
This removal of floats also means the Konfidence Jacket can grow with your child.
SMALL 18mths-3 years- Suits and will fit MOST children weighing between 12-20kg and aged 18-36 months.
During this age, its more about ability.
The child needs to ATLEAST understand they need to move their arms and legs in the water.
Parents will need to spend time in the water with the child, holding their hands until the get used to using this type of floatation aide.
(If child is 16kg or over, choose next size up)
MEDIUM 3-5 years - Suits and will fit children weighing between 19-25kg ( if child is 22kg or over, choose next size)
LARGE 5-7 years- Suits children weighing between 24-30kg RED COLOUR ONLY IN THIS SIZE.
